Precise collection and recording of ambient data along the routes of automated guided vehicles (AGVs) are the foundation for the calculation of exact reference maps. Data recording also includes fine adjustment of the scan plane on the vehicle provided by the customer as well as a thorough check of the ambient conditions along the defined routes of the AGV.
