SICK Cylinder sensors MZT8 ATEX

The MZT8 ATEX cylinder sensor from SICK is the flexible solution for detecting the piston position in pneumatic actuators in explosion-hazardous areas. The NAMUR version meets the most exacting standards and fulfills the requirements of the highest ATEX category 1D, 1G (dust and gas). As such it satisfies the requisite conditions for use in areas in which the atmosphere is explosive permanently, for prolonged periods of time, or frequently. SICK has also versions in ATEX category 3D, 3G for use in areas with a lower risk of explosion. These different explosion-proof variants of the MZT8 ATEX are suitable for use in silo hatches, elevators, mills, or conveyors.
