The Area Hotspot Detection System uses thermal imaging cameras to detect overheated surfaces on objects like batteries, silo walls or piping. Early, proactive detection of hotspots can prevent fires. The system tracks the temperature of the measured object continuously and completely automatically. This can be done across multiple defined fields of interest with differing temperature thresholds. If a defined threshold is exceeded, an alarm is triggered and sent to a higher-level system, which makes it possible to react quickly to the detected fire hazard.
