SICK Integration products Connection Device Fieldbus

The fieldbus modules of the connection device fieldbus (CDF) product family allow for fast and simple integration of 4Dpro identification sensors into industrial networks. Different variants are available with different fieldbus interfaces. The external connection module can be assembled on all industry-standard profiles, leaving the status LEDs clearly visible for effective diagnostics. Bus address and operating mode can be set directly on the module using rotary encoding switches without the use of configuration software. While the CDF can be integrated at an easily accessible point in the conveying equipment, the 4Dpro sensor (e.g. the CLV615-F), which is connected with only one cable, enables mounting deep in the system.
