Our pyrotechnic and pneumatic air-to-air eject launchers (MEL) are designed for the carriage and release of air-to-air missiles from military fighter jet aircraft.

Pyrotechnic air-to-air eject launcher

Eaton’s pyrotechnic MEL provides high-velocity, long-stroke rapid ejection ensuring safe missile/aircraft separation upon launch in the most extreme flight conditions. Our MEL allows weapons carriage on store stations within bomb bays, traditional wing pylon stations and underside conformal stations can further improve stealth through reduced radar signature.

Pneumatic air-to-air eject launcher

The Eaton VELocity MEL is the next generation of weapons carriage technology. We designed this compact weapons carriage and release system for sixth generation fighter aircrafts, and unmanned combat air vehicles that require internal carriage and release capabilities. Our VELocity MEL is lightweight, compact and has low power consumption. Its modular design enables the use of either high pressure cold gas bottles, or an on-board compressor.
